Here is Part 2 of our Germany adventure. Enjoy...
Our second tour of the week was to Neuschwanstein Castle. It is also called the Disney Castle. On the way we stopped at a wood carving shop. This is just outside the shop.
We also stopped at the Church on the Meadow. It was so beautiful inside. Such detail in every corner. Here you see my beautiful family excited to get there picture taken in front of the alter.
Of course, Alyssa found some horsey's. If you ever want a great smile from this little girl just show her a horse.
Outside the church was a little restaurant that sold THE BEST doughnuts. You wouldn't know it from the look on my family's faces but it was SOOO good.
This is Neuschwanstein Castle. The Disney castle was designed after this. In my opinion the outside was the best feature of the castle. Here you see AJ with a sleeping angel on his back.
Once again the Neuschwanstein castle with another angel in front of it - oh wait thats ME!
Just outside the entrance to the castle. Look - we spotted a princess. Isn't she beautiful (but believe me it didn't last long). It was a very long day and the princess' ugly side came out shortly after this picture.
A picture of one of the courtyards. We couldn't take pictures of the inside so this is the last picture of the castle.
The pretty side of Alyssa has returned but we can see why - Horsey Ride. She loved sitting up front and telling me the horses have big butts.
The next few pictures are of the Munich Zoo. It was fun because they had babies everywhere. In front of the beautiful women in the picture you will see a 6 week old elephant.
Asher enjoying his mid-day snack. What a cute smile.
My family enjoying the seal show. It was in German so we didn't know what they were saying but it was still entertaining.
What a surprise - we found a horse! You would think that as much as Alyssa loves horses she would have ridden them before but this is her FIRST time. I have never seen a girl so happy. She talked to her horsey the entire time while her parents sat on the sidelines NERVOUS.
Stay tuned for Part 3...
This so reminds me of the Worley family back in 1982 to 86 when we lived in Holland and Germany. Our kids we about the same ages and we went to all the same spots as you visited. Next spring you have to get to Holland for the tulips. We miss you and are counting the months 30 of them until you return. Until then we're glad you are enjoying your overseas assignment. Keep up the posting. We love them. Bob Worley
