Alyssa's Big Week

This week was a big week for Alyssa Jill.  She had some fun things go on at school and a special gift from Daddy.

On Thursday she had a teddy bear picnic.  Her class met a ranger and went into the forest with their teddy bear's to build a den.  This is Alyssa with some of her classmates with the ranger entering the forest.

Alyssa helping her friend out with a big log to build the bears den.  She was a big help.

Alyssa putting a stick on the half made den.

Alyssa posing in front of the finished den.

Alyssa and Carson inside the den.  Too cute.

Her classmates sitting around the ranger listening to a bear story.

Alyssa chilling by herself in the den.

Friday was the last day of school and they had sports day.  Unfortunately, I didn't get to attend but Daddy took some great pictures. I just love her face in this one.  She is suppose to be in a race but there is always time for a picture.

For some reason she is all about the camera.  Here she is not paying attention to the race that is going on.

Here she running to show Daddy her "special" ribbon.

And today, Sunday, she got a bike from Daddy.  For all those who know that AJ is "thrifty"  he found this at the recycling center for free.  With a couple new things to make it cute she has her first bike.  She was really only interested in honking the horn Daddy bought for it.

After a while I thought she got the hang of it but come to find out she is just going down hill, as AJ is demonstrating in this picture.

Asher turns 1!

What a happy day.  Our little Asher has turned one years old.  We will be celebrating his birthday in 2 weeks with grandparents and friends but had our own little party last night.  Here are a couple cute pictures of him..

Its amazing how quickly children learn what a present is.

One happy boy!

Finally got it open. What a big boy.

Gimme! Gimme!

Such a sweet chocolate face.

He only ate the top with the frosting.

And this is what happens when the frosting is all gone.
Its my party and I will cry if I want to.

Windsor Castle - 4th Anniversary Present

Earlier last week my wonderful husband let us know for our anniversary he was going to take the day off and take the family to Windsor Castle.  I love these little get-a-ways.  Here are some of the pictures from that day.

Once again my little model is posing for the camera.  This was taken just outside the staterooms that are no longer being occupied.

We are just about to watch the changing of the guards.
Asher had the best view in the house.

The guards in formation waiting to be relieved of duty.  It was a warm day so I can't imagine how hot it was under those uniforms and those HATS. Where are their summer uniforms?

The band.  It was really cool to hear the bagpipes with the drums.  They marched through the main street outside the castle, which they do every day.

This is what Asher thought of the castle.  He was OUT!

Me infront of the gated part of the castle.
I wonder if the Queen is in?

Can't live in England and not have a picture with a guard.
Cross this off my bucket list.

And can't go to a castle and not get a picture with a princess.
Cross this off Alyssa's bucket list.

Alyssa has been asking to go on a steering wheel (aka ferris wheel) for a while now and her wish came true.  She had a blast.

Enjoying the view from above.

AJ walking down a pretty lane.  I just loved the way it looked with the lights above.  I bet it is beautiful in the evening.

Alyssa feeding the wildlife, her passion.

Germany - Part 4

The final part of our Germany trip.  Hope you enjoyed all 4 parts!

The last tour we did at Edelweiss Resort was a guided tour of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.  It was a fabulous tour and learned a lot of the area.  This is the last picture we have of Alyssa's precious Baby...she will be missed.

If you look real close to just above the middle of the picture.  You will see a black dot.  This is a skier practice jumping.  These are the ski jumps used in the Olympics and during the summer they wet the green part to act as snow.  It was cool to watch.

Here we are eating at a cafe on the main street of Partenkirchen.  It was very good and loved eating among the locals.

This is the main street in Partenkirchen.  I love anywhere you look you have some view of the beautiful mountains.
(I would not feel the same way in the winter though)

Here is the main street of Garmisch.  Garmisch-Partenkirchen are one town but have two of everything, including their main streets.  Notice the art on the building...you find that everywhere.  It really makes it a beautiful town.

The Muhs Family in front of a fountain on main street Garmisch.

This stage is located in a beautiful park in Garmisch.  They held (and hope to hold) the medal ceremonies for the Olympics here.
I love the all the greenery.

This is the most photographed street in Garmisch.  Unfortunately I took it with a big ugly van in the middle. But is was a beautiful street.  Notice all the houses have flower boxes on their balconies.

On our way to our second hotel we decided to take a tour of King Ludwig the II's castle.  It is called the Linderhof Palace.  I liked this one the best because of the grounds and it was actually finished inside.  We didn't get to see the entire inside because we had to excuse ourselves from the tour (all I say is CHILDREN).

This is the "frontyard" of the palace.  It really looks like something from a movie.  It was breathtaking and I can't imagine walking out of the palace everyday and looking at this.

I love accident photos like this one.  I was trying to get them to look at me so I could get the picture taken but this turned out ten times cuter.  I love this shot!

Can I say..."Sound of Music".  I want to run through here with the Von Trapp Family.  Alyssa thought is was fun.

This is the view from our second hotel and only picture.  We were in the town of  Sonthofen. There was nothing really going on.  We just relaxed and swam A LOT!

Stay tune for pictures of our next adventure...

Germany - Part 3

Ok everybody, here is Part 3...we are almost done.  There is just too much to see in this beautiful country.

Put on your sunglasses...I am showing some WHITE skin.  This day was pretty warm and we decided to go on a bike ride up to the Partnach Gorge.  Didn't know that I wouldn't be able to sit for a couple days thanks to a wonderfully hard bike seat!!

This is a ski jump near the Olympic stadium that they used in 1936.  They are crossing their fingers that the Olympics return here for the 2018 winter games.

This picture makes me sad.  He looks like a boy here and makes me realize he is not my baby anymore.  But he is SOOO cute!

This is at the foot of the Gorge.
My handsome men posing in front of a beautiful water fall.

Alyssa walked through the entire Gorge holding her hand on her head.  I don't know if it was because there were spots where the ceiling was really low or water dropped on us the entire way through.  She still came out wet like the rest of us.

The Partnach Gorge.  It was breathtaking.  It was a little scary with the kids because the water was moving so fast and there were some slippery parts.  They enjoyed it though and we held onto them tight.

This is one of the waterfalls.  Just enjoy the view.
Picture doesn't do it justice.

One of the tunnels we had to walk through.
There are my men again.  Too cute.

This is one of the most precious pictures I have taken.
They were both enjoying a waterfall.
I am glad I got this on film (figuratively speaking).

Another precious moment.
Sharing a (open mouth) kiss with my son.
I love him so much!

A daddy with his daughter.  And do you notice what is in the background..thats right, horseys.  Surprise, Surprise!

This I find to be so funny.  We were held up because of a tractor.  Everybody was farming around us and we had to wait for this tractor to make it to another field.

I guess the day was just too much for her.
Good night little princess.

And yes there is a Part 4 (but it will be the last one, at least until the  next time we go.)
