Alyssa had her big day today! She had her first horse riding lesson. She got to ride a pony named Toffee Apple. She was a sweet horse. The pictures will show you the joy Alyssa had every moment with Toffee Apple. Enjoy!
She was so excited she couldn't stay still for a pre-lesson photo. Check out her cute new boots. She looks like a pro (with faux fur).
Alyssa with her instructor. She was such a natural. The instructor was great and spoke to Alyssa in her terms. To stop the horse she said "pull on the reins like your are pulling a teddy bear out of the toy box by his arms." And Alyssa got it!
Close up. She was listening so careful that she couldn't take time to smile for the camera. I was so proud.
Walking towards Mommy. Did I mention that I was proud.
Because Alyssa was so comfortable, the instructor asked if she could take her for a little walk. I said "of course."
Gotta love the "walking away" shots. Even with a big horses behind in it.
Coming back from their walk. Can you see the joy in her face. She was in her own Heaven.
Oh yeah, Asher and AJ were there too. They were enjoying the other animals there. AJ and his cats...
I think Alyssa's favorite part was helping take the horse back to the stable. Here she is being shown how to put the stirrups away. She was a big help.
LOOK AT THAT FACE!!
She was so happy. Here she got to put the saddle away.
This made Alyssa laugh. When the horse was free of her saddle she laid down and rolled around.
We have been home for a couple hours and already Alyssa is asking when she can go back to the pony riding place. Looks like we have found her "thing".
